How we verify
1. Rescuer identity
Every rescuer registers with a photo ID, contact details and references. Six Hounds checks the ID and documents by hand before a rescuer can post bills. Only then is the “Verified rescuer” badge shown. Badges are never used to rank or promote anyone.
2. Clinic and bank details
There is no preloaded official registry. For every bill the rescuer types in the clinic name, emirate/city, phone, email, registration no. (optional), the clinic's account name, IBAN and bank, and uploads the invoice (and a bank letter or IBAN certificate if the invoice does not show them). The app compares the IBAN, account name, clinic name, amount and TRN, showing Match / Mismatch / Couldn't read for each. Photos are checked by hand. Any mismatch, a clinic seen for the first time, or a changed IBAN for a known clinic stops the bill until Six Hounds reviews it. Six Hounds verifies every clinic itself (for example by calling the clinic to confirm the IBAN) and records the date and a note. Only then does the “Verified clinic” badge appear, and the clinic joins Six Hounds' Known Clinics list so it is suggested on future bills. A bill with an unverified clinic cannot go live.
3. Personal accounts are never accepted
The account name must be the clinic's own business account. Personal payment links and personal bank details are blocked on bill forms.
4. Direct-to-clinic payment
Sponsors transfer to the clinic's account using the bill reference; Six Hounds never holds vet-bill money.
5. Paid to clinic
A bill shows “Paid to clinic” with the date only after Six Hounds confirms the clinic received the payment. The clinic receipt itself stays private.
6. Welfare check-ins and updates
Rescuers post dated treatment updates (photos and videos) at 7, 30 and 90 days, with one-off check-in codes and possible video calls or spot checks. Before-and-after updates are public on each rescue story.
7. Microchip registry
Microchip numbers are checked for format and duplicates, and anyone can look up a chip's status without seeing personal data.
8. Numbers and testimonials
Live counters are calculated only from real records; demo examples are labelled DEMO and never counted. Sponsor testimonials are shown only with the sponsor's consent and after Six Hounds approves them.
